In Memory

Sandra Lee Peacher (Westall)

Sandra Lea Westall

On March 19th, 2015, we lost the most beautiful, cheerful and optimistic spirit many of us will ever know after a several year battle with breast cancer.

She was born Sandra Peacher on February 15, 1945 in Tacoma and graduated from Mount Tahoma High School in 1963. Sandee became a beautician and worked long hours for several years to save enough money to start her own business when she was 28 years old. She continued to joyfully work long hours over the next 42 years.

For more than 30 years, Sandee owned The Hair Solution in Gig Harbor located at the bottom of Peacock Hill. She also owned several other businesses including tanning salons and a limousine service.

Sandra started her professional singing career at age 55 and is preceded in death by her keyboard player Bob Hardcastle. If you go outside tonight and listen closely to the wind, you're sure to hear strains of "Sentimental Journey" performed by a heavenly reunion of Sandee and The Sentimentalists.

Those left heartbroken by Sandee's death include her husband Paul, her daughter Destiny, and her mother Bernice Shadbolt who all live in Puyallup. Others mourning Sandee include her sister Diane Johnson (Tom Stanton) of Tacoma; her sister Sherry Lamb (Darren) of Tacoma; her sister Mary Jo Peacher Creso (Kelly) of Tacoma; and her brother Bill Peacher (Eileen) of Puyallup.

Sandee leaves behind a wonderful stepfamily including her stepsister Kathleen Daly (Syd) of Olalla; stepbrother Robert E. Shadbolt, Jr. (Karen) of Brinnon; her stepsister Lois Brubaker (Jim) of Lacey; and, her stepbrother Henry Shadbolt (Kim) of Port Orchard.

Finally, Sandee will be sorely missed by numerous friends and customers who now find themselves in a futile search for a stylist who can perform hair miracles even half as well as she could.

A memorial for Sandee will be held on March 28th at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church at 8602 Bridgeport Way SW in Lakewood, WA. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the American Cancer Society.

A totally beautiful woman has left this Earth to join the heavenly chorus. Peace and serenity I pray for her family. we are never alone unless we choose to be. Love never ends. So many years have passed since we were classmates, yet, memories prevail and always provide a timeless bond of friendship, truly just one gift of our benevolent maker. Rest in peace, my friend.Amen
