Marianne Louise Dickson VIEW PROFILE

August 1945 – October 2002. Marianne died suddenly at her home in Gig Harbor at the age of 57. A lifelong lover of music, literature and kids, she found fulfillment as a teacher in Gig Harbor for 35 years, the last 3 as a busy substitute following her retirement. She was very active in her church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. She volunteered for many organizations in her community and will be greatly missed. Marianne graduated from Mt. Tahoma High School in 1963 and Western Washington State College in 1967. Marianne is survived by her parents, Marylouise and LeRoy Kennedy; sisters Eileen Dickson and Karen (Gale) Matherly; brothers Kevin (Laurie) Kennedy, Tom (Shawn) and Mike (Sharan) Dickson and Jim (Mary) Naset; 10 nieces and nephews, a grandniece and grandnephew. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to your favorite charity. Services will be held Monday, November 4, 2002, at 4:00pm, Fox Island United Church of Christ, 726 6th Avenue, Fox Island, WA.
