Hi Darlene
If you need someone to at least administer the posting of the photos, I am volunteering. I've designed and am administering 3 personal websites.....which contain and concentrate mostly on photos:
http://azcarnutz.tripod.com/
http://azcarnutzcritters.tripod.com/
http://ultra-van.tripod.com/
Just let me know if you need help....I'll probably be able to figure out how to post pictures on this your website too.

Darlene, You and your partners have done a wonderful job.

Does anyone know if the class before us or the next couple after us have a website going? I tried Mt. Tahoma Class of 1964 but found nothing.

DARLEEN, HOPE ALL YOUR CLEAN UP FROM THE FLOODING AND SNOW IS DONE AND YOUR BACK TO NORM. TIME GOES BY FAST AND THE 50TH WILL BE HERE SOONER THAN WE THINK.

IT'S NICE TO SEE THAT MORE PEOPLE ARE FINDING OUT ABOUT THE SITE. I TOO WAS WANDERING IF THE CLASS OF 62 HAD A SITE.

I HOPE WE CAN SEE SOME PICTURES FROM THE 45TH. IF YOU HAVEN'T CHECKED OUT BETSY SENNS SITES YOU SHOULD. SHE LOVES TO DO THIS SORT OF THING AND DOES A VERY DETAILED JOB.

THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO, HI TO ALL!

I have recently discovered the Mt Tahoma 63 web site. Terrific job!I would love to hear from any of my 63 classmates.

Does anyone live in Southern California? I live in Westlake Village,  north of Los Angeles.

So, just in case anyone ventures by here ... a couple of thoughts about the 50th reunion ...

Several years ago the class organizers (and thank you guys for doing all that you do), put out a request for ideas for the big five-O get together … I haven’t seen much discussion about this and it’s getting closer and closer … we’re talkin’ like just over a year … so, what else do I have to do but make sure that my Social Security check got e-deposited?  Hang on to your shorts, here we go …

  1.  Seven day Alaskan cruise … Inside passage, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchican, Sitka … oh, my.  Sometime in July 2013.  There would be drinkin’, eatin’ gamblin’ and just an all around fun time.  Leave from Vancouver … come back to Vancouver … Oh, the price … well, that may be a problem … cheapest thing would be like $1200 per person and for the big spenders $3-4K for better rooms … and you’d have to get to Vancouver, BC and back.  It would be fun though!
  2. So, second choice, still a cruise but from Seattle to Victoria … as an aside, the Fern Hill fifth graders did this … what a hoot! … the fifth grade class didn’t stay overnight but I’d say that we should do that … like at the Empress Hotel (I think they have a new name?) … Okay, price again … the boat ride is like $120-150 and the hotel about $180 for two … so $250+ per person.
  3. A Ferry ride from Point Defiance to Vashon Island and dinner at some place there … probably $100-150.
  4. Okay, movin’ on down the price scale … do a local excursion … think these would be under $100 per person, Northwest Trek, Paradise Lodge at Mount Rainer, Blake Island, some other place, etc.
  5. Another thought … a catered dinner at the new Mount Tahoma High School Cafeteria … I’d like to see the new place.
  6. A picnic at Lake Wapato, chips and dip … BYOB …

Okay, jump in here … yell at me, I’m used to it!  Heck, I’m not even sure we can come to this thing!

I just read Bob Jewett's ideas for the 50th reunion.  I thought he had some good ideas.  Several years ago Denny and I went on a cruise with the class of 63 from South Kitsap High School.  They invited friends and family and we went as friends of one of the graduates.  It turned out very well and we had a great time.

My husband graduated from Lincoln in 1960 and for their 50th, they had a tour of Lincoln and a banquet.  The tour was great and I even got to visit with Susan Burkett who was there with her sister.  Since the old MT Tahoma is gone, it would be fun to see the new one.

Hugs,

Debra

Thank you, Pam, for your nice comments. Once I figured out how to get the pictures posted, it was fun and maybe more time consuming because I took the time to recall classmates in each picture. Thanks to an idea from Karen (Munt) Odell's husband, Chan, we have lots of room for many more pictures. So I'm hoping folks will go through their photo stashes and find some of those oldies to share. We know there will be lots of photos from our 50th. Hope to see you there!
